Static Shock

I cannot believe it. The amount of static here is CRAZY.
I just got static shock from my laptop! Tried to touch the touchpad and my finger was only like 1cm away, and the static shocked me!
Just today, alone, I got static from my doorknob like 5 times.
It's crazy! Crazy!
Can someone tell me how to reduce this static-thingy in my room? It's really quite a shock since it goes under your nails at the fingertip. Haha.
