Well, well. This is such an extremely long, overdue post. Should've started this blog at least a week ago!

Well, basically this is kinda like a 'travel journal' of sorts--a lazy way for me to keep a memento of sorts of my exchange programme in Canada, and a convenient way for all you people to read/update yourselves! :)

To start, this was the big send-off at the unearthly time of 2, 3am on the morning of 31st December 2005 (SG time).

My dearest family, grandparents, the ever supportive da jiu and family, and my sweetheart all stayed up for me! Amazing, huh? :)

So on the super long flight, we just ate and slept in the cramped seats of Qantas and British Airways. I think British Airways had much better service, though. :D Check out the foodie pictures!

Yup, then we got a looooong transit in London. Walked around, took some silly pictures. The stuff there are SO expensive! Seriously, pounds is really no joke. Something looks deceivingly cheap numerically, like the tag would say maybe 5.99 for a pair of earrings? Uh, yah, 5.99 in Pounds. :S:S Crazy, right. Haha.

So finally we got to the hotel, and this a a view from the hotel room, in the day:

See the snow-covered cars and stuff! We were so excited to be here! Haha. Then we tried to go out for meals, and we realized everything was closed. :S New Year's Day mah.

So the next day, we took the airport shuttle to the university. It's been a week since.

Uh, not gonna update about what's been happening in the first week now lah. The entry is already so long. Haha. Shall backtrack and update again next time. :)
